This flexible solution couples higher temperature capability and variable voltage control via a calibrated, closed loop regulator design with standard look up tables. Our customized UPA board can accommodate both Balanceworx and SMC® regulators which allows you to fully adopt our solution on your timeline!

OBSTACLES

TEMPERTURE 

  • Temperature testing on Oxide and Tungsten Mirras® shows levels reaching 190F at the regulator manafold.
  • SMC® regulators SMC IT1011-N31-X4, SMC IT1001-N31-X6 are specified by the manufacturer to handle 121F.

PRESSURE AND CALIBRATION  

  • Pressure shifts during temperature changes has been recorded up to +/- .3psi.
  • Requires Zero & Span Calibration.
  • Unable to calibrate zero PSI at zero voltage DC requiring a variable voltage offset .

TIME

  • Requires auto-calibration for 20 minutes with RPM3 box.
  • Failed unit can result in tool downtime between 20 to 60 minutes for each regulator not including tool re-qualification.

COST

  • Failure requires replacement
  • Power is not available to provide alternative solutions
  • 12-16 units per tool escalate maintenence
